You don't happen to have a copy of FOABP that plays without buzzing/distortion? There's a thread on here where a few of us compared several copies and all of ours have it.

To me, the culprit must be the master lacquer itself. I've got a repress of it and it still has buzzing across the high frequencies. Thing is, on some equipment it doesn't stick out as much. I took a copy into my local dealer for testing (I was picking up my newly acquired custom TT that day so brought in some LP's to try out), the buzzing was still there but I had to really listen out for it. On my system at home it sticks out like a sore thumb unfortunately. It's made worse when I pop in my DVD-A straight after and it's clean as a whistle.

Some cartridges probably track it better, hence why not everyone hears it.

I have the blue and pink version of foabp and haven't noticed the problem. Perhaps I need to pay better attention. What song is this buzzing on?

Whenever the letter "s" is said/sung. What cartridge are you using?

Im using Shure M44-7 and I have a lot of sibilance. I have two copies on black vinyl, the first is definitely first pressing, the second was bought couple of years after the first pressing.

Is "vinyls" even a word? Huh
I know - nitpicking.

Was 'Deadwing' ever issued on vinyl? I can't seem to find it anywhere online.

^ yes, in three different colors: blue (700 copies), red (700) and black (600). it's long out of print, but will be reissued anytime. now you can only find it on places like Ebay - but for ridiculous prices!

I've already got 'The Sky Moves Sideways' on pre-order - that's being re-issued at the end of the month. Let's hope 'Deadwing' is next up on Kscope's list for re-issues!

^ I think K-Scope don't has the rights for Deadwing, so we could get a Tonefloat reissue - which I would prefer...

[edit] and the next K-Scope reissue will be Coma Divine.
