No.

Why? One of the reasons might be the pretty difficult vocal line in the chorus which probably would cause some problems for SW when played live.

It seems to me PT were never too fond of playing most of their B-side stuff pre Deadwing. It's a shame really...

Yeah BUT Drown With Me wasn't played until 2007 and Futile is not really a b-side.

How is it not a b-side? Are you saying the Futile EP is just that...an EP and not a b-side album? But isn't the EP comprised of b-sides from the In Absentia period?

My statement still holds true. I said MOST. Playing two out of 50+ songs means ignoring most of your B-sides to me. And this is when those albums were still new. The majority of the B-sides from Deadwing on have been played with consistency.

Futile was recorded in January of 2003, a long time after the completion and American release of In Absentia. It was originally released on a promo-only EP titled Futile (very different from the download EP of the same name) around June 2003 and it was premiered live back then. So while it indeed ended up on the DVD-A of IA and the download compilation of IA-Outtakes, it's not exactly a b-side/outtake but more of a standalone track originally.

For me if its not on an official studio album or EP, or a soundtrack, its a b-side. Even if the official definition of b-side doesnt hold up to that. I consider the song as a b-side more importantly I guess.

Of course, thats just for me.

Chloroform is a great tune.
