Ditto, that's why I'm not crazy about it. It's kind banal. But it's fine, I don't think it's a bad cover, just nothing special.

I really like it. Once hearing the album the cover might take on more of a meaning with the music though; and some who don't like it could have a change of opinion.

This is why sometimes it's good (if you can contain yourself), to avoid all things associated with a new album being released (images, audio samples, descriptions, reviews, etc). That way when the album is finally released you have a truly real reaction without the outside influence of others, or without the wonder of what to expect based on what you've seen so far.

Some people don't like the cover now. But maybe when that person has a gate-fold in their hands and is staring at the cover, listening to the music....they might love it. Of course the opposite can also happen.

Well said, I had a feeling when starting this thread it was somehow unnecessary, I think you've detailed why.  Wink

Option 2 for me. It's not the most brilliant cover I've seen, but it's quite attractive and atmospheric, more so than the cover of Insurgentes. Not that I think Insurgentes is that bad, I just would have liked to have had the presence of the gasmask explained at some point.

... that if thats SW he looks errrm ..fat  Grin Grin
Seriously it doesnt do much for me, I see the Deadwing similarity but its way more banal.
However that is the image taken in isolation. Perhaps as part of the whole package it will work.

To be honest out of all the photos in the booklet, there are probably better ones that could of been used, however I think its a pretty cool album cover.

Steven seems to be more and more trying to affect the look of a holy man of some sort - odd, considering that his lyrics all seem to indicate a lack of belief in any traditional religion.

Don't know about other shows, but when he entered the stage in Krakow, he stood in the centre and took the "crucified" pose before he started to play. He seems to be way past the "international pop star" status if you ask me.

I would like to have a 2.5 option: "It works, (but) it's just a cover".
Lately we had a mask, a hand and a syringe.
I could use some blurred vintage scenery for a change.
