Blackfield- Manchester
08. Apr 2011 at 01:57

Blackfield 10 - audience 0

abslute blinder by the band, terrific setlist and the comedy of value of SW fking up Cloudy Now 3 times...shame I was surrounded by a capacity audience who gave absolutely nothing back during those classic songs...seemed to be 90% Tree fans unfamiliar with the bnad...hopefully they enjoyed it anyway...good applause after most songs at least

Nothing like the Astora 2 gig 4 years ago where the crowd was totally into it

I mean , why shout out for Tree songs? dick heads

I didn't hear any shout outs for PT songs, in fact I only heard one shout out and that was for 1000 people, when Steven said "We don't do requests".
There were a few people around me who sang to most of the songs. But it was pretty obvious that most of the people there would primarily be PT fans.

I didn't hear any shout outs for Tree songs, though that's not to say there weren't any.
Great gig. Terrific sound and the band were on fire.

I didn't hear any shouts for PT either! Enjoyed both bands immensely, and what stood out for me at the end was that SW seemed genuinely pleasantly amazed that 'his' fans were up for enjoying Blackfield's music too - that "maybe you metal fans are listening to Erasure" comment made me laugh. Great night Cool

No shouts for PT songs either...just somebody asking for 1000people. I did sing along most of the songs despite my rubbish English and voice. Also important to notice that half of the songs were from the last album which has been out only for few days.

I don't consider the band was "on fire" though. I would like to see them after some more shows when they get more used to play the new songs. Terrific presentation anyway.

I only took a couple of pics because my "camera view" was obscured and I didn't want to disturb others around me in any case. That consideration didn't seem to bother others though.

Here's one, not particularly inspiring.

Yeah, again. The new routine at Manc and London is the shirt comes off, he wears it like a burkah for a bit then chucks it!

Hi
I was at the Manchester Gig and to be fair, I got the impression that most of the crowd where PT fans Smiley

Fair point though that DNA was only released a couple og days before the gig!  I got wind of the Setlist two days before and played it to death to try and pick up the lyrics but looking around, a few people had obviously done the same!!

P.S I thought The Pineapple Thief were awesome!!
