How do you rip songs from a dvd-a disc so that you can burn them to a cd and what is the best software to use?

I've been using this for years, and the 2008 version is very user-friendly, unlike the original one.

Thanks for the link. I will check it out. Does it rip songs from a regular dvd too?

Nope, just the high resolution layer from DVD-A discs.

I didn't know this was possible. Thank you for this!
I can finally hear those songs from LBS/SD!

Edit; oh wait, they are all on recordings Grin except the instrumental Buying New Soul (I think that's the version on LBS?)
oh well, it might come in handy in future times.

Also, is it better quality to rip a cd to flac, or rip from the high res layer of a dvda?

If you do a search for DVD Audio Extractor, that one is more thorough.  It will rip anything from the two channel version to the 5.1 version in your format of choice, and does the same for DVD Video too.
