Anyone celebrating Diwali?

I wonder if there are fans of this magical Indian Holiday of Lights around? Personally, I adore it, though I haven't travelled to India. Yet Smiley

I never heard of it before. I imagiine Indian expats here would celebrate it, but if so it must be a fairly low-key thing, unlike for example Chinese New Year which definitely makes its presence known in loud fashion. Smiley

Here in North West London Diwali celebrations are in full swing. In fact we have non-stop fireworks from now til mid November (good thing I like fireworks) We have Hindu next door neighbours who always invite my kids over for fireworks and sweets (lucky them- I love those sweets!!!)

I immediately thought this was some sort of reference to The Office.

I don't celebrate anything, so naturally I don't celebrate Diwali, either.
