Right here!  I was there too, definetly a killer show...  Any opinions on "show stealers"?  I thought Hatesong was great as well as "How To Stretch Out 2 Chords For 12 Minutes"  Cheesy  aka  ASBNH... and of course, the closing with Trains summed up the night perfectly...

Where in MN you at?

I live in Uptown, not too far from Lake Calhoun.  I have been hooked on PT for a couple of years now.  I agree with your "show stealers" and I will throw in Shesmovedon, just because that song has always been one of my favorites.  I also love Lazerus ....

Next time they comed to MN, hopefully in October, maybe Steven will feel better and perhaps we can get some local record store to sponsor an in-store signing/meet and greet as in some other states.  Maybe we can even design a cool poster like the one at the Fillmore in San Francisco.

Yeah, I'll be at college in Duluth then, but would rather die than miss the second leg!  What albums do you own?  Maybe we could conduct a listening exchange?  I'm really not trying to freak you out...  I've always thought it'd be cool to meet someone as... in love(?)... with PT as I... if interested, let me know! I live an hour north of Detroit.  I saw PT in Grand Rapids and in Phoenix.  I dragged my kids to the GR show, but had to go alone in Phoenix.  Hopefully the Detroit show isn't canceled.  I'd love to go with another fan.  Don't miss 'em. Shocked

Ok, this is going to sound really dumb but...is Colorado considered "midwest"? I think it's southwest, but I'm not so sure, I've heard mixed things...

Writing from Ann Arbor, MI.
I'm busy spreading the word on the Oct 8th show. Although folks were pretty upset about the July cancellation, i got about 10 people ready to go! Any takers to for a place to meet first? I don't know the area around the Majestic too well....

There are 2 good places to meet by the Majestic:

The Majestics own bar/restaurant,and Union Street Station, directly across Woodward from the Majestic.

Next time they come through we should really try to organize something pre-show. There seems to a fair contingent here from the Chcagoland area.

I'm in the Wicker Park neighborhood in Chicago.  I recently discovered that Porcupine Tree played at Wicker Park's Double Door venue in 2002 - here is a review I stumbled upon while surfing -
http://www.concertlivewire.com/porc.htm
The Double Door is a really small place and it would have been great to see them there had I know of PT then!  I just discovered PT 2 months ago and they are amazing - like many of you - I am totally, completely, and positively hooked.   Tongue

Yes that is a nice small venue.I saw the Afro Celt Sound System there awhile back.Remember when the Rolling Stones played there the last time they came through town before this most recent tour. One day their name appeared on the marquis out front.Needless to say it sold out very quickly. Were you one of the lucky ones?

Nope - would that have been unbelieveable or what?  It was next to impossible to get tickets.

I'm an old Stones fan (don't listen to them so much anymore) - saw them at Chicago's Soldier Field in 1978 - one of my first big stadium rock shows as a teenager (Some Girls tour) and also in the mid-80's or thereabouts in Chicago.  My sister and husband (who I treated to the 10/11 Porcupine Tree show  Smiley) just saw the most recent Stones performance in Chicago ($150 and up - ugh!) and they said it was fantastic.  How do they do it??  It's funny, 'cause I was just looking at a review that I saved from 1978 and a Chicago paper said that they still rocked after "so many years" and that was 1978 for christ's sake!  Smiley

Steve -
I think I might have met you too - in the line before the show on the 11th - we met briefly - you were with another guy from Kankakee?  There was also another guy in the line from Milwaukee named Lee.  I was wearing a jean jacket with a small Yes logo on the back.

The Double Door is a really small place and it would have been great to see them there had I know of PT then! I just discovered PT 2 months ago and they are amazing - like many of you - I am totally, completely, and positively hooked. Tongue

Great show but the Double Door has got to be the worst venue I've ever seen P.T. play. Awful dive...
