I'm down in London quite often so a meetup for a few beers in London village is a possibility. Let's see if there's enough people interested to make it worthwhile.

Cheers,

They do meet -up type of things like this over on the RUSH Tnms forum quite regularly,In fact there is a Manchester meet up on Saturday 25 june At the `moon under the water` (Quite a few PT fans on that group. I got into PT through that forum and now im a massive fan of SW s work ). Sorry if this seems like a plug for the RUSH

No problem with a mention of that forum - I'm on there myself, as you've probably noticed!!

It would be good if we could get something similar organised for this forum but the lack of replies to this part of the forum has made me wonder if perhaps I was being a little optimistic about this!

Cheers,

I'm from Belfast in Northern Ireland and know there must be at least one other PT fan in Belfast - 'cause they bought the UTDS re-issue in HMV before I got back for it!

So, anyone here from NI?

Cheers

I'm in Lancaster, and not a car owner, so meet-up opportunities are limited.

Besides, who'd want to socialise with PT fans?  Cheesy

I'm in Edinburgh, and I must be one of the only PT fans here, as the train back from the Glasgow gig was practically empty!

I'm in mid Wales. I live just twelve miles from where LBS and SD were recorded. I wish I'd known about PT then.

Not too cool for gigs though - I think the last time PT played Wales was 1997! I guess it's easy enough to hop over the Severn Bridge for the regular Bristol gigs though!

Simon,

Bristol is my home town but it's a three and a half hour drive from here. Much easier for me to get to Wolverhampton which is where I saw PT live for the first time this year. This is the first concert I have been to since Pink Floyd at Earls Court. And well worth the effort. What a great show.

I notice that the screenplay of the film on which Deadwing is based is set in Wales. Do you know of any particular reason for this?

What's your fave British accent though - there are many! I'm guessing that a Brummie accent is probably not too high on your list though. If you don't know what Brummie is just think Ozzy!!!

My fave brit accent? Well, I have to say London, I'm biased of course, but they just sound so cool.  But scottish people sound funny, which is cool too.

And I'm still not sure what a 'brummie' sounds like  Wink

You've not heard Ozzy Osbourne speak?

Brum is a local word for Birmingham, in the middle of the country (about 20 miles north of me) and birthplace of bands like Black Sabbath, Duran Duran, Judas Priest, Nick Drake, ELO, Diamond Head etc. etc.

Birmingham is the 2nd biggest city in the country. You wouldn't want to spend too much time there though Wink

Cheers,
